rs of the Christian community on Tuesday staged a protest against sale and use of liquor and
alcohol in the provincial capital.
They also expressed shock and concern over the death o
f five people the other day due to poisonous liquor.
Holding banners and placards, the protestors gathered outside Peshawar Press Club and stressed the go
vernment to ban sale and use of
alcohol. They were o
f the opinion that
alcohol, drugs and other toxic items were prohibited in all religions. They demanded the go
vernment to ensure ban of all sedative items.
