e toxic footprint of Daesh in Afghanistan poses a threat to regional and international peace and it must be eliminated.
Speaking at a se
minar on “Pakistan and Current Geopolitics” at the University
of Michigan, Consul General Faisal Niaz Tirmizi said a dialogue bet
ween the Afghan Government and Taliban remains the only way to end the war in Afghanistan.
Pakistani diplomat also stressed the need for genuine and result-based talks with India to resolve all outstanding issues including
the core issue of Kashmir.
Counsel General welcomed the US offer to facilitate a dialogue bet
ween the two countries, but regretted that India as in the past had once again rejected the offer.
Talking about CPEC, he said it would not only boost the economy of Pakistan and China, but would have a positive impact on other regional countries and the Persian Gulf region.
